Haleakala Waldorf School

Haleakala Waldorf School is a fully accredited, 37 year old independent school providing education to Maui’s children from infancy through eighth grade. The Waldorf curriculum recognizes that children have distinct, age-related educational, emotional and neurological needs according to their naturally unfolding stages of development. To meet these needs, the arts are integrated into virtually every element of the curriculum. Children experience the lesson's content through drawing, painting, song, recitation, drama and movement.

Kamehameha Schools Maui

Kamehameha Schools was founded by the will of Bernice Pauahi Bishop, the great-granddaughter and last direct royal descendant of Kamehameha the Great. Kamehameha Schools' admissions policy is to give preference to applicants of Hawaiian ancestry to the extent permitted by law. Kamehameha is a Christian, non-denominational Protestant school. Students are required to attend worship services, attend religious education classes and participate in special events such as Founder's Day and Song Contest.

Maui Adventist School
Kahului, HI

Maui Adventist School is a private school located in Maui county. The lowest grade of instruction at this school is kindergarten and the highest grade is 8th grade. This school is considered a religious school. Maui Adventist School is associated with the Seventh-Day Adventist religion. It is an extremely small school with only 39 students and 6 teachers. There is one teacher for every 7 students which is a very good student:teacher ratio.
